THE ROBERTSON HOTEL | Fun Christmas In July Getaway

THE ROBERTSON HOTEL | Fun Christmas In July Getaway

THE UPSIDE: gorgeous driveway, entry and property, lovely refurbished rooms and old boardinghouse charm.

THE DOWNSIDE: common areas were chilly despite generous, good heating in the bedrooms.

Stayed for the last Saturday night during a month of festivities for 'Christmas in July'. We had an enjoyable stay and ate what we could of the full buffet dinner that was part of our package. Lovely country charm, beautiful property and fun overnight stay.

The building has nice period touches throughout without feeling shabby. We understood the property had new owners and is being slowly done-up. The rooms have been done beautifully - warm, cosy, comfortable bedding and nice linen. The common areas, for my liking, need a little more love (and warmth in winter).

Shared bathrooms are done very nicely, and if you have a room close to them, it's not inconvenient or unpleasant. Can be a good cost-saver!

Decorations brought the Christmas mood and cheer, and I had a lovely comfortable sleep.

I'd definitely recommend it. The area itself, surrounding, is lovely for a drive also. One of my favourite getaways from Sydney - The Southern Highlands.

THE UPSIDE: amazing views from inside and wide range of cafe food and produce.

THE DOWNSIDE: didn't experience one.

Lovely, rustic cafe we dropped into for a coffee - very glad we did! The place is full of charm and a great spot to pick up some pasta, tea, local produce, snacks, jams or cheese. You get the idea :)
