BREWRISTAS | Glebe Cafe Worth a Visit
THE UPSIDE: excellent value for money, unique and impressive menu, and loads of space. This isn’t a place where you’ll be kept waiting – for a seat or your food.
THE DOWNSIDE: I get the feeling they know they’re onto a good thing, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as they don’t let the service slip.
Sydney is crawling with places that are lining up to serve you your weekend dose of a big breakfast or smashed avo and in Glebe, Brewristas are doing a great job of it. They make a thing of specialty coffee so if you’re into cold drip, this is definitely the place to go.
I've been twice now and enjoyed both visits. The space out the back in the courtyard makes for a nice place to sit and relax, especially as the main road in Glebe can get crowded on the weekends and most places tend to be fairly small. Both brunch and lunch options hit the spot. The prawn and shallot burger and the slow roast lamb burger were tried and both really enjoyable.
On our first visit, we were catching up with old friends so it was less about the food on that occasion but I was impressed with the menu. Great for locals, a must to check out, and worth venturing to Glebe for if you're wanting to try something off your regular patch.
